World Space Week: Your Cat's Plans for Galaxy Domination

World Space Week: Your Cat's Plans for Galaxy Domination

Brought to you by NekoPunch – where cats, comedy, and cosmic cuteness collide.

October 4–10 is World Space Week, the annual celebration of science, technology, and humanity’s greatest ambition: exploring the final frontier. But while humans dream of Mars missions and moon bases, one little furry lifeform is already plotting something far more… dramatic.

Yes. We’re talking about your cat.

🐾 Phase 1: Training in Zero Gravity

Have you ever seen your cat leap across the room, twist midair, and land on a windowsill like some kind of four-legged Jedi? That’s not just acrobatics. That’s anti-gravity simulation training. In your living room.

They’ve been preparing for space missions this whole time. You just thought it was "zoomies."

🪐 Phase 2: Rocket Launch (a.k.a. Knocking Things Off the Counter)

Every item pushed off a table? Practice for jettisoning objects into the void.

“Mug? Gone.”
“Your phone? History.”
“That fancy candle you loved? A small price to pay for orbital readiness.”

When the rocket (read: laundry basket) finally takes off, your cat will be the first to boldly go where no fluffball has gone before.

👽 Phase 3: Intergalactic Diplomacy (with maximum judgment)

Your cat’s mission: Find intelligent life… and judge it mercilessly.

First contact with aliens? Probably something like this:

Alien Leader: “We come in peace.”
Your Cat: Turns back, flicks tail, licks own butt.
Alien Leader: “We are not worthy.”

Congratulations. Your cat now rules the galaxy.

🌠 Did You Know? Cat + Space Trivia!

  • In 1963, a cat named Félicette became the first feline launched into space by France. She’s known as Astrocat. Her mission was successful, and she returned safely. (Cue tiny space helmet squeals.)

  • NASA once considered using cats for microgravity studies, but scrapped the idea due to “difficulty training cats.” (We could’ve told them that.)

  • The average housecat can jump up to six times its length, which on the moon would basically make them an unstoppable bouncing furball.
